Privacy Notice

JOHN|ANDERSON (“Anderson”) is committed to protecting the confidential information with which he is entrusted.  Visitors to www.JDA-Web.com, www.JohnAnderson.net, and www.JohnAnderson.online ("The Websites") may have questions about whether and how information is collected and used.  This Web Privacy Statement, along with the Terms of Service and Privacy Notice, discusses the steps taken to respect your privacy.  Hosting of The Websites may be shared with Bluehost.com, DigitalOcean.com, and/or Wix.com, the privacy policies and notices of which (respectively, https://www.endurance.com/privacy/privacy, https://www.digitalocean.com/legal/privacy-policy/, and https://www.wix.com/about/privacy) are incorporated herein by reference.

Browsing.  JDA-Web.com and JohnAnderson.net are not configured to collect any personal information from your computer, unless you voluntarily and knowingly provide personal information by filling out a web form on the site.

Internet protocol (IP) address.  An IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer when connected to the Internet.  When users request a page from The Websites, the server may log the user's current IP address, which could be used to help diagnose problems.  IP addresses are not linked to personal information about you.

Cookies.  The Websites may use strings of text stored on a user’s computer, or "cookies."  Cookies track a user's preferences and activities relating to that website. The Websites may create and use temporary cookies, which may expire at the end of your visit to this website.  If you choose to create a personal profile on JohnAnderson.online and elect to have your username and password automatically remembered, a permanent cookie will be placed on your computer.  A permanent cookie does not expire unless you deactivate your personal profile.

Pixel tags.  The Websites do not use Pixel Tags, which are not visible to the user of the site and consist of a few lines of computer coding (also known as "clear gifs", "beacon gifs", "1-by-1 gifs", or "web bugs”).

Information to execute the transaction you request.  When information is needed from you, you will always be asked to supply it on a voluntary basis.  For example, you may be asked for certain information if you ask to download a product or make a purchase online; or, you may be asked to complete an online survey for suggestions or comments about products and/or services or for similar purposes.  Providing this information is strictly voluntary.

Securing the transmission and storage of information.  Neither Anderson nor The Websites currently offer online purchasing or an online store.  If in the future this feature is available, you will be asked for personal and financial information in order to process your order or register a product.  This information, including your name, address and credit card data, would be transferred over a Secured Sockets Layer ("SSL") connection, provided you are using a SSL-enabled browser, to ensure that your information is encrypted as it travels over the Internet.  This secure mode would be enabled before any such information is transmitted from your computer.  You will know you are in secure mode when the padlock icon is visible in your web browser and when the beginning of the website address changes from "http" to "https."  After any information is transferred, it would be stored on a secure server behind a firewall designed to block access to the information from outside, third parties.

Use of information.  Information you provide is confidential, it is processed and stored securely, and it is subject to data protections laws.  Please see the Privacy Notice regarding use and storage of your information.

Disclosure of information to third parties.  Anderson does not sell, trade, or transfer personal information to other companies, except as required or permitted according to the Privacy Notice.

Links to other sites.  If you leave The Websites using a link to another site, please be advised that Anderson is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of external sites, nor for any cookies or pixel tags they may use.

Legal issues. Your personal information may be disclosed without your permission only when required by law or in good faith if such action is necessary or desirable to comply with law or to protect or defend the rights or property of Anderson, The Websites, or its users.

Privacy statement changes.  This Web Privacy Statement is subject to change at any time.  Any changes will be posted to this page, which will contain the most current (April 2020) Web Privacy Statement.
